Since 2019, the Federal Foreign Office has been funding the interdisciplinary Arms Control and Emerging Technologies research and transfer project at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH). The project is part of the research area of Arms Control and Emerging Technologies. The project examines the status, functions, and strengthening of arms control, disarmament, and the control of emerging technologies. The synthesis of research results from the social and natural sciences allows for new perspectives. The project team uses various knowledge transfer formats to contribute its findings to the political and social discourse. Detailed information on the project can be found here.
