Since January 2026, Tristan Volpe has joined the project team in the IFSH Berlin office as a Research Associate. He is currently on sabbatical from the Naval Postgraduate School, where he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Defense Analysis. Tristan Volpe’s research explores how technology shapes cooperation and competition among states, with a particular focus on dual-use capabilities, defense strategies, and artificial intelligence.
